Ken Mukai - Boys' Team Head Coach

Ken has been involved with basketball for most of his life. He has played basketball since age six, and has coached basketball ever since graduating from Venice High School. He has coached teams at many levels including teams in the Asian-American community and high school. He is currently the coach of the WLA Bulls and the JV Boys' Coach at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies.

In 1992 after graduating from UCLA with a BS in Kinesiology, Ken moved to the Oki Islands, Japan to work for the Shimane Prefecture Board of Education through the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. During his free time he increased basketball awareness throughout Shimane by assisting the basketball programs at the high schools in Oki, organizing games between Shimane teams and foreigners living in Japan, and running basketball clinics at several high schools throughout the prefecture. After returning to Los Angeles, Ken joined the Yonsei Basketball Association and helped organize the first Yonsei trip to Shimane in 1995.

Ken is looking forward to coaching Yonsei VI against his former colleagues in Shimane.
