YONSEI BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION 2008
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
For
the past 15 years, the Yonsei Basketball Association has selected boys and girls
to participate in experiencing cultural differences through playing basketball
in In
keeping with our mission, we are awarding 3 one-thousand dollar scholarships to
high school seniors who best exemplify the Yonsei philosophy of academic
excellence and community service. One
of the scholarships will be the Sue Kamiyama Scholarship award, named after one
of our charter members. Sue was a
valued member of the Yonsei organization since its beginning and has been a
strong and vocal advocate of girls youth sports. After
Sue’s passing in 2004, it was only fitting one of the scholarships be awarded
in her memory. The other 2
scholarships will be general Yonsei scholarships.
